“Help, I’m drowning,”

If someone is falling apart because of an issue that is plaguing them that they cannot even think straight, telling them to “just pray about it,” is not what they need to hear in this situation.

James 2:15-17 refers to this exact thing.

15: Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. 16: If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,”but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? 17 In the same way, by faith itself, if it is not accompanied by action is dead. NIV

This is equivalent to saying “just pray about it,” or “I will just pray for you.”

“My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.”1 John 3:18 KJV.
This Scripture commands us to not just use our words, but to help others and serve them.

The people in the church are hurting and no one is even aware of it. As Pastors and Leaders it is our duty to help. Instead of just praying, let’s take the time to reach out and guide them. Especially those that are serving.

Don’t “just” pray about it. Don’t “just” tell them your praying about it. Don’t “just” offer words of exhortation. Let’s help each other out.

Let’s humble ourselves and serve and HELP those who are drowning in sorrows, issues and problems.

Do not judge but offer guidance and discipline. That’s what Jesus did. Keep growing!

Thank you to those who have always helped and guided me.

Sincerely, Tracy Moye

Desperation

Has there ever been a time in your life you were desperate?

I’ve been there many of times. I recall my mother telling me at a young age. “Life is not fair.” I never realized how correct she was.

When desperate we do things we never imagine. I don’t want you to think I am whiny, because I’m not. I’m human. It doesn’t matter the walk of life we come from, we’re not invincible. Although as mothers, we do try to do everything and we do an awesome job, but we cannot be everything for everyone. God designed it that way.

God wants us to lean on him? Only God can do it all, that is what makes God awesome. (Sometimes it would be nice if we could wave a wand and it would clean the house and get the daily tasked done for us:)

If you are desperate today, I want you to know, I believe in you! You can do this!

Psalm 62:1-2, 5-8 1 Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him. 2 Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken. 5 Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him. 6 Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. 7 My salvation and my honor depend on God[a]; he is my mighty rock, my refuge. 8 Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.

Sincerely, Tracy

My Foundation

I’m human, same as you. With that being said we are two imperfect people trying to get through life. I cannot promise I have all of the answers for your situation. But what I will do is, open my heart and share with you what I have learned/learning.

‘Call unto me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’
Jeremiah 33:3 NIV

It was important to my parents that my older sister, my younger brother and I knew who God was. At the age of three we began to go to church as a family. During those years I became established in God but I had to be intentional. I had no clue that my world would be rocked to and fro in my 20s,30s, and 40s.

I do not admit I have it all together but I can no longer keep silent with what God has carried me through! Allow me to share it with you.

When we build on a firm spiritual foundation we can withstand anything.

(24) Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: (25) And in the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock, (26) And everyone that heareth these sayings of mine doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: (27) And the rain descended, and the floods came, in the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it. (28)And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended, these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine: (29) For he taught them as one having authority, and not as scribes. Matthew 7:24-29. KJV
